Johannesburg City Marathon

Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

Johannesburg City Marathon is a full road marathon organised by Johannesburg Harriers, with Klipriviersberg Recreation Centre in Kibler Park as its recent race base. The inaugural route took runners onto the M1 and past central-city landmarks, with enough climbing to discourage an optimistic opening pace. The 2026 instructions set a six-hour finish limit and an intermediate cutoff near 26km. Check the next route and entry announcement carefully: a familiar race name does not make last year’s instructions current.
