Edinburgh Marathon

Edinburgh and East Lothian, City of Edinburgh & East Lothian, Scotland, United Kingdom

Edinburgh Marathon begins on Potterrow, near McEwan Hall, before heading through Portobello and Musselburgh towards the East Lothian coast. The road course loses almost 90 metres overall, although that is not a promise that every mile goes downhill. Standard and charity entries sit alongside Top Club and Good for Age applications. As the race heads away from its city-centre start, check the transport arrangements as carefully as the route map; tired legs seldom improve a complicated journey back.
