Dingle Marathon
Dingle, County Kerry, Ireland
Dingle Marathon makes a road circuit of the Kerry peninsula, heading through Ventry towards Slea Head before continuing through Dunquin and Ballyferriter back to town. Coastal scenery accompanies a hilly course, including a substantial climb around mile 22. Save something for it; the route has clearly not read the memo about tired legs. Full and half-marathon runners start together, but enter their distances separately. The published full-marathon cutoff is six hours from the gun, an important consideration when choosing this race.
