Connemara International Marathon
Maam Cross, County Galway, Ireland
Connemara’s full marathon is a road race from Lough Inagh to Maam Cross, taking in rural scenery and a demanding second half. The hills reward a measured start; an ambitious early pace may look less convincing later. Entry includes transport to and from the race, and the organised buses are compulsory because there is no parking at the start or finish. The accompanying half marathon and ultra have their own start arrangements, so check the instructions for your distance.
