Barossa Marathon
Tanunda, South Australia, Australia
The Barossa Marathon is based in Tanunda, taking runners through South Australia’s wine country on roads and a sealed shared path. The generally flat to gently rolling course uses a 1.4 km section of the Barossa Rail Trail twice. The vineyards provide a pleasant distraction from the arithmetic of kilometres remaining. Entry is through the South Australian Road Runners Club when the next edition opens. A 2027 date is still to be confirmed here; the organiser publishes course maps and GPX downloads.
