Kamil Resa Alsaran crossed the English Channel from England to France in 13 hours 19 minutes on 4 September 2012.
View athlete profileAlsaran swam the English Channel twice, with Stuart Gleeson on Sea Leopard in 2012 and Fred Mardle on Masterpiece in 2015. At Catalina in 2017 he and Ragip Vural Tandoğan appear in separate solo entries with the same elapsed time. They also have separate finish rows in New York in 2018. Both were members of the six-person Brave Turks relay that crossed the English Channel and returned in 27 hours 2 minutes in 2017.
The English Channel swim on 4 September 2012 took 13 hours 19 minutes. The Catalina federation records 13 hours 1 minutes 38 seconds on 28 July 2017. In New York the 30 June 2018 Manhattan circuit took 10 hours 15 minutes 45 seconds.
