Buller Gorge Marathon follows the river roads towards Westport, starting near Hawks Crag with an initial trip up the gorge towards Berlins. After turning, runners head back to Victoria Square over an undulating course with three principal hills. The organiser鈥檚 buses take entrants from Westport to the start and return their bags to the finish. General entry is available online. This is the festival鈥檚 road marathon; its ten-kilometre race uses a coastal trail, so choose the distance carefully.
