About Wymondham AC

Wymondham Athletic Club began in May 1978 as Wymondham Joggers, founded by John Dunsire, Chris Croton and Brian Harvey. The first London Marathon helped shift the group’s interest towards racing. Its first Wymondham road race followed in 1983, and the club adopted the Wymondham Athletic Club name in 1992.

Regular club nights now start from Kett’s Park Community Centre, with coached groups covering different levels. Road running remains the main focus, alongside trail runs, cross-country and track sessions. WAC organises the New Year’s Day 10K and Wymondham 20. Its joining guidance asks prospective runners to be able to complete 5K without stopping; enquiries and taster arrangements go through the club.
