Women Running Penarth was established in 2011 in Penarth, Vale of Glamorgan, Wales. The women-led club offers daytime and evening running options, welcoming members who want company and fitness as well as those preparing for races.
Main sessions mix hills, drills, intervals and steady running and are intended for people already able to run continuously for twenty minutes. Ten-week beginner courses provide a separate route into those groups. Sunday social runs and longer preparation for the Cardiff Half Marathon give members opportunities to build endurance together.
Membership is open to women aged seventeen and over, with two free trial sessions offered before joining. Weekday runs meet at Tesco Extra on Terra Nova Way; Sunday outings start by Penarth Library. Contact the club and check its calendar to choose a suitable session or find the next beginner-course intake.
