About South East Wales Schools District
South East Wales Schools District serves school athletics in Blaenau Gwent, Monmouthshire, Newport and Torfaen, Wales. Welsh Athletics lists track and field and cross-country, and records cherry-red vests with white and green hoops. The listing concerns a representative schools district rather than an open-membership club based in one town.
The district forms part of the Welsh school-to-national championship structure. Newport hosted its published May 2026 qualifying athletics meeting. That dated competition is useful context for the district's work, but it should not be read as a current training timetable or a standing invitation to attend the venue.
A pupil's school is the practical starting point for questions about entry and selection, alongside the district schools enquiry address. No permanent district clubhouse or public weekly coaching offer was confirmed. Families should check the specific school event's eligibility and meeting arrangements before making plans.
