About Rhondda Valley Runners
Rhondda Valley Runners was formed in 1985 by friends from the Rhondda who shared an interest in running. Based in the Ystrad area of Wales, the club is distinct from Rhondda Athletics Club and focuses on road running and cross-country.
Welsh Athletics lists Monday and Wednesday evening training at Rhondda Sports Centre in Gelligaled Park. The club’s red vest with a white V is its published racing colour scheme. The directory describes a friendly, supportive group for people already able to run 5K.
Prospective members should contact the club to discuss a first visit, the right group and current joining arrangements. Public club and welfare contacts are available through Welsh Athletics. The sports centre is a training base, and the directory timetable should be confirmed before travelling for an unfamiliar session.
