About Pontyclun Road Runners
Pontyclun Road Runners serves Pontyclun and the surrounding area in Wales, with road, trail, fell and cross-country running. In March 2026 Run 4 Wales named it the first club in its Featured Club programme, highlighting its community involvement and welcoming approach to runners with different backgrounds and ambitions.
The club’s contribution extends beyond its own race results. Run 4 Wales describes charity support, parkrun volunteer takeovers and members helping other runners as race pacers. Its training programme uses several local meeting points, including Pontyclun Rugby Club, the Miskin Arms and Ynysddu, with additional track sessions at Bryn Celynnog.
Welsh Athletics lists coaching and a guide-running contact through the club. Newcomers should email the club to discuss the right session, current joining arrangements and any guide support they need. Multiple meeting points are kept separate here so a timetable or list of venues is not mistaken for one street address.
