About Penarth and Dinas Runners
Penarth and Dinas Runners was formed in 1988 and brings together runners of different abilities in the Vale of Glamorgan. Local road, trail and cross-country races form its club championship, while trips to marathons and the Welsh Castles Relay give members opportunities to race and support one another further afield.
The club organises the Porthkerry 5-mile mixed-terrain race, Cosmeston Relays and CF64 winter race, with profits supporting Tenovus Cancer Care. Its training page identifies Penarth Athletic Rugby and Cricket Club as the base introduced in 2025. Prospective members can arrange a trial session through the club’s form or public enquiry email, checking the calendar for the meeting point.
