About Emlyn Runners
Rhedwyr Emlyn Runners began in 2008 when ten runners formed a club in Newcastle Emlyn, west Wales. It welcomes a broad range of adult runners, including beginners and walk-runners as well as experienced competitors. Members run for fitness, enter races individually and as teams, and help organise local events.
Thursday is club night at Newcastle Emlyn Leisure Centre. The programme alternates coached sessions with social runs, and newcomers can try a couple of sessions before discussing membership. The website’s pages give slightly different arrival details, so check the latest club notice or email before your first visit.
The club’s own races include the Abercych 10K and the ten-mile multi-terrain Diafol Dolbryn Devil. Its history also describes members marshalling for other organisations and raising funds for charities, local sportspeople and community causes. Membership includes Welsh Athletics affiliation, with an enquiry email and membership information published online.
