About Dyfed Schools District
Dyfed Schools District covers Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire in west Wales. The Welsh Athletics listing identifies track and field and cross-country, with navy team colours crossed by red and white diagonal stripes. Its purpose is representative school athletics across a broad area, not a single-town running group.
The schools pathway links district competition with Welsh national school championships. Carmarthen was named for Dyfed's published June 2026 qualifying programme. Those dated meetings illustrate the district's role but do not establish a permanent training schedule or a new intake for the coming season.
Schools and families can use the published schools enquiry routes to clarify participation, age groups and selection. Ask about the specific event before travelling: the reviewed directory gives a regional identity, not a district clubhouse or an open club membership offer.
