About Dolly Mixtures
Dolly Mixtures Running Group brings women together in Llandrinio, Tregynon and Welshpool in Wales, and across the border in Shrewsbury, England. Founded by Kim Evans, Sharon Davies and Dianne Spencer, the volunteer-led group combines mixed-ability running with social activities and support for individual goals.
Sessions are led by qualified female run leaders. Routes and meeting points vary: the Llandrinio group uses locations such as the village hall or Llandysilio School, while Welshpool usually meets at the Flash Leisure Centre. Members also get together for seasonal social events, from summer outings to Christmas celebrations.
Contact the group before a first visit to arrange a trial and find the right session. Joining starts at age thirteen; under-sixteens must run with a female parent or a responsible female adult known to their parents. There are no dedicated beginners groups, though some sessions include running and walking. Social and Welsh Athletics-affiliated memberships are available.
