Cardigan Running Club, also known as Clwb Rhedeg Aberteifi, was formed in October 1994. Based in Cardigan in West Wales, it combines social running with a local race programme that includes the Poppit Sands 5K series, the Mayor's 10K and Ras y Castell. Its bilingual website reflects the community it serves. New members are welcomed throughout the year, with enthusiasm for running more important than previous club experience.
Wednesday and Friday sessions start from Maes Mwldan car park in Cardigan. Wednesday groups offer shorter and longer distances, while Friday is a social outing; a monthly handicap adds a quicker session to the programme. The club recommends bright clothing and a torch for winter evenings. Membership includes Welsh Athletics registration, and the website links to the joining process.
