About Brecon Athletic Club
Brecon Athletic Club trains at Penlan Athletics Track, with the Bannau Brycheiniog hills close by. Its programme takes young athletes from broad running, jumping and throwing activities towards more specialised training, while middle-distance and endurance groups cater for a wider age range. Indoor facilities support some sessions through the winter.
For adult road runners, the Happy Feet group offers social running with meeting points confirmed for each outing. Couch to 5K courses provide another route into the club. President Kirsty Wade was a junior member while living and attending school in Llandrindod Wells, and recalls those early years in her welcome to members.
