About Barry & Vale Harriers
Barry & Vale Harriers is an athletics club based at Jenner Park in Barry, Wales. Welsh Athletics lists track and field, cross-country and road running among its disciplines, connecting stadium athletics with running beyond the track.
The governing body’s historical timeline records a change from Barry Harriers to Barry & Vale Harriers in 1979. That is a naming milestone, not evidence that the club was first founded that year. Jenner Park is independently identified by Welsh Athletics as the club’s home, with the stadium serving as a sporting venue rather than a private correspondence address.
The current club directory lists a Wednesday evening training session and a main enquiry contact, together with the club’s Facebook group. Prospective athletes and families should use those routes to confirm suitable age groups, coaching availability and how to join. Published venue postcodes differ between sources, so visitors should confirm the entrance and meeting arrangements before travelling.
