About Abergele Harriers
Abergele Harriers brings adult runners together on the North Wales coast, from sociable training groups to road races, cross-country and the fells. Its long-running Abergele 5 events form part of that local racing history: the club's archive records a 33rd five-mile race and the addition of a 5K in 2019. Those archive dates describe past events, not the next race programme.
The club welcomes runners aged 18 and over and separates training into different pace groups; racing is optional. Welsh Athletics lists sessions at Pensarn Beach car park and Abergele Leisure Centre. The club's own training page still describes 2021 pandemic arrangements, so ask the secretary for the current meeting point before attending. Under-18s are directed towards a track-based club because Abergele's regular training is largely on public roads.
