About Waveney Valley AC
Waveney Valley Athletic Club runs an athletics programme at East Point Academy on Kirkley Run in Lowestoft. Summer sessions use the playing field, while winter training moves into the sports hall. The club also arranges access to the Great Yarmouth track when available, and endurance groups use Lowestoft’s seafront and other venues.
Younger athletes learn running, jumping and throwing through a broad development programme before specialising. Older athletes can work in sprint, field or endurance groups, alongside a separate senior off-track section. New members can try two taster sessions. Because venues vary by discipline and season, the athletics coordinator can confirm the right group and meeting point.
