About Tonbridge AC

Tonbridge Athletic Club was founded in 1947 by two local policemen, Tom Jones and Norman Fowler. Its first training ground was a field belonging to Tonbridge School; the club is still based at the school’s sports grounds today.

Run and coached by volunteers, the club has groups for younger athletes, seniors and masters. Newcomers can arrange a trial before deciding whether to join. Contact the club first and wait for an invitation from its trials coordinator, as unregistered visitors cannot take part in a session.
