About The Stragglers Running Club
The Stragglers Running Club was founded in 1981 and has long brought runners together across south-west London, England. Based in Teddington, it caters for people running for fitness and company as well as members competing in Surrey road and cross-country leagues.
The club moved its headquarters to Bushy Park Sports Club in 2021. Thursday is the main club night, with sessions for different paces and distances and a social gathering afterwards. The wider programme includes coached running, junior activity and club handicaps, with meeting details published on the training pages.
In January 2025 the club became a charitable incorporated organisation, reflecting its community participation aims. Prospective members can try a training session before applying through the club's joining page. The headquarters is a clubhouse and regular meeting point, while individual sessions may use other locations.
