About Tempest Running Club
Tempest Running Club is an England Athletics-affiliated running club in Seaham, County Durham, England. Social running is central to its identity, with members ranging from recent Couch to 5K graduates to runners who take part in marathons and longer events.
Qualified run leaders support organised sessions, and the club places emphasis on friendship and participation rather than requiring everybody to share the same competitive goal. New runners can use the public enquiry form or club email to explain their experience and ask which session would suit them.
A ten-week beginner programme advertised for September 2026 uses Vane Tempest Beach car park as its meeting point, with coached Wednesday sessions and guidance between meetings. That dated course illustrates the club's route into regular group running; anyone joining later should confirm the next intake and current meeting arrangements.
