About Tamar Trotters
Tamar Trotters has been running around Saltash in Cornwall, England, since 1996. Its members range from beginners to experienced ultra runners, with the town's roads, country lanes and surrounding fields providing varied places to train. Social runs and support for members taking on events are part of the club's character.
Tuesday and Thursday club nights operate from Saltash Rugby Club, with pace-based groups running for about an hour. Members gather before the start so groups can be organised, and Sunday outings provide opportunities for longer runs. The rugby-club base also supports the social side of membership, including facilities after training.
New members can ask about the appropriate group through the published membership email and join through the club's linked membership service. A separate Couch to 5K programme offers a route for people beginning to run, with intake dates to be checked directly. England Athletics registration is an option within the membership arrangements rather than an assumed requirement for every participant.
