About Sutton & District AC
Sutton & District Athletic Club was created in 1985 through the merger of Sutton & Cheam Harriers and Mitcham AC. It serves runners and field-event athletes in Sutton, Surrey and the surrounding South London area, with coaching provided by volunteers.
The club’s home at Carshalton Sports Arena gained refurbished facilities in 2003 and was used as an Olympic training camp in 2012. The venue was subsequently renamed the David Weir Leisure Centre. Club activity includes track and field, cross-country and sportshall athletics, with provision from school Year 5 through to masters competition. Prospective members can ask about the appropriate group for their age and chosen events.
