About Stratford Upon Avon AC

Stratford upon Avon Athletics Club was founded in 1979 and is run by volunteers in Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire, England. Its sections cover road running, cross-country, track and field, and triathlon or multisport, with opportunities for children and adults.

Track and field training takes place at Stratford School on Alcester Road. The junior programme encourages athletes to experience running, jumping and throwing before specialising, while seniors can train and compete through regional leagues. The club also supports masters competition and offers pathways into county, regional and national events.

Club life includes the Cotswold Hilly 100, Stratford Summer Six and other organised races, as well as social activities at the town's Sports Club. That facility has its own membership arrangements and should not be confused with athletics-club membership. Prospective members are invited to try sessions first; separate senior, junior and triathlon contacts can explain the relevant route and current availability.
