About Sphinx AC
Sphinx AC was established in 1984 with roots in Coventry's Rolls-Royce community. Based at Copsewood Sports and Social Club on Allard Way, Coventry, England, it is recognisable by a blue vest with a gold band. Running across different terrains is part of its identity rather than a single-distance specialism.
The club contributes two distinctive events to the local calendar. Its Summer 5 takes runners around Coventry's War Memorial Park over five miles and forms part of the Warwickshire road-racing programme. The Coombe 8 takes the activity off road at Coombe Country Park, giving the club a presence in both parkland road racing and countryside running.
Alongside adult participation, Sphinx has a junior section with a dedicated coaching enquiry address. Prospective members can use the general contact form or approach the junior head coach for the relevant age group. Confirm the available group, meeting point and session arrangements before a first visit rather than assuming that every activity starts at the social-club address.
