About South West Road Runners
South West Road Runners began in Exeter, Devon, England, in 1984. Runs organised through Colin Price's Runners Edge shop led to the club's formation that July, with Price as its first chairman. Early member Terry Doble designed its original motif.
Since 1992 the club has used Exeter Arena, remaining a separate club from Exeter Harriers. Wednesday evenings gather at the Harriers pavilion beside the track for announcements before running. The programme includes track and road groups, beginner and progression running, walk-and-talk activity and Sunday outings, with support for visually impaired runners.
The club organises events including the Drogo race, First Chance and Feighan Fury. A first session can be tried without charge, but visitors should check the current group and meeting instructions. The published pavilion address uses postcode EX4 8NN; it should not be confused with other facilities around the athletics complex.
