About South Cheshire Harriers
South Cheshire Harriers began in 1986 when runners from Crewe and Nantwich Athletic Club established a club focused on road running. Based in Cheshire, England, the Harriers have used several meeting places over the years, moving to Crewe Vagrants Sports Club in Willaston in 2007.
Road racing and cross-country remain central to club life, including Cheshire road competition and the North Staffordshire cross-country league. Its Vagrants base gives runners access to changing facilities, showers and a bar, making the meeting point a place to socialise as well as prepare for training.
Published club evenings are Tuesday and Thursday, with different start times: Tuesday runners gather at 6.15pm for 6.30pm, and Thursday runners at 6.45pm for 7pm. Newcomers should check the current arrangements before attending. The website publishes an enquiry email, although it warns that this is not monitored daily and points to its official Facebook page for a quicker response.
