About Slough Junior AC
Slough Junior Athletics Club was founded in 1998 at the newly opened Thames Valley Athletics Centre in Eton, near Slough and Windsor, Berkshire, England. Its founding aim was to develop young people's potential without making performance the only reason to participate. Children can begin from five, exploring running, sprinting, hurdles, jumps and throws.
Saturday training uses the centre's indoor facilities and outdoor track, with groups organised by age and ability. The programme follows three school-year terms, while continuing through half-term breaks. An expanded Saturday timetable in 2017 created space for more young athletes, and additional Thursday sessions are offered for older children.
The club identifies high jumper Morgan Lake and sprinter Marcel Hodge as former junior athletes. These are historical training associations, not claims of current membership. Families should submit a membership enquiry to discuss an appropriate group and available places. General questions can go to the chairman's club-role email; the athletics-centre telephone is not treated as a dedicated club enquiry line.
