About Shrewsbury AC

Shrewsbury Athletic Club is based at the London Road athletics track in Shrewsbury, Shropshire, England. Its programme brings together track and field with road, cross-country, fell and trail running, giving juniors and adults several routes into athletics rather than a single weekly running group.

Monday and Wednesday club evenings use the track throughout the year, with floodlighting supporting winter training. Junior athletes compete in the Shropshire Young Athletes League in summer and cross-country in winter, alongside sportshall opportunities. Senior endurance runners also take part in the North Wales cross-country league.

Membership starts at nine, although children can join the waiting list from eight. Families and prospective adult members should use the club enquiry form to discuss the appropriate coaching group before attending. The published timetable still links to a 2024 programme, and the sports centre closes on bank holidays and over part of the Christmas period, so confirm the current session.
