About Shelton Striders
Shelton Striders was founded in 1984 in Derby, England. The club combines training and competition with a busy social running programme, including relays, handicaps, parkrun visits and its own ten-kilometre race. Its membership arrangements include runners under eighteen as well as adults.
Wednesday coached sessions move between Darley Park in summer and Moorways in winter, with interval work forming part of the programme. Other club outings provide different distances and a more social emphasis. The seasonal venue change matters: Moorways is a training location, not the starting point for every run.
