About Setanta Triathlon Club
Setanta Triathlon Club was established at a meeting in Felda Fitness Centre, Dundalk, in October 2004. Based in County Louth, Ireland, it serves the north-east region and grew from local enthusiasm for triathlon, including the early Blackrock race.
Members train for everything from a first duathlon or sprint triathlon to long-distance events. The club organises duathlon racing and the Land of Legends Olympic-distance triathlon, while its programme includes coaching, seminars, club sessions and shared trips to selected races.
Membership is arranged through Triathlon Ireland, alongside the appropriate national licence. Beginners can contact the club for advice on training and equipment, and experienced members can choose sessions around their own goals.
