About Seaford Striders RC
Seaford Striders was formed at a meeting at Seaford Head School on 15 October 1986, following Peter Forster's idea and Martin Bulger's organisation. The first group run followed a week later. The club belongs to Seaford in East Sussex, England; its use of a track in Lewes does not make Lewes its home town.
Early runs gathered at the Salts before the club used rugby-club facilities, and it moved to the Downs Leisure Centre in 1995. Today its published programme includes Wednesday pace groups, seasonal off-road routes, hills and intervals, alongside Monday track training in Lewes and junior activity at the Salts. The Mince Pie Ten is part of its local race calendar.
New runners and families should contact the club about a suitable group and the current meeting point. Session times differ between published pages, so confirm them before attending. The variety of venues reflects different activities rather than a single clubhouse offering every session.
