About Savvy Park Runrz
Savvy Park Runrz was established in 2020 in Castleford, West Yorkshire, England. The England Athletics-affiliated club takes its local identity from Savile Park, where runners gather at the Castleford Cricket Club car park. Its offer combines sociable running with opportunities to train and race together.
The published Monday and Wednesday evening runs use routes of roughly five to eight kilometres, with out-and-back formats and different paces helping people share the session. Club activities also include track visits to Thornes in Wakefield, a club grand prix, relay participation and charity fundraising. Beginner courses are offered periodically rather than continuously.
Prospective runners can contact the club to arrange a first visit and discuss a suitable group. Social membership and England Athletics registration provide different participation options. Check the latest meeting arrangements before travelling; the park meeting point is a training base, not evidence of a staffed clubhouse.
