About Saint Edmund Pacers
Saint Edmund Pacers is a running club in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, England. Its programme reaches beyond adult club running: the junior section caters for ages ten to seventeen, while Mini Pacers introduces children aged six to nine. The usual junior base is Abbeycroft Leisure Centre on Beetons Way, with sessions adapting to the season and group.
The membership page offers adults a three-week trial including track training, alongside full, social, student and second-claim options. Junior training is organised by ability, and parents of Mini Pacers are asked to remain nearby. Contact the club first to arrange an appropriate trial and confirm the relevant age group's requirements.
England Athletics recognised the Pacers as an East region club-of-the-year runner-up in 2024, highlighting its buddy-supported trials, volunteer work and charitable activity. That is a dated recognition, not a claim about current award status. Published membership enquiries provide the practical route into the club, including questions about financial support.
