About Rotherham Running Club
Rotherham Running Club was established in 2022 by runners and friends in Rotherham, South Yorkshire, England. Social running and competition sit alongside each other: members take part in road and cross-country events as well as team challenges such as the Round Rotherham, Barnsley Boundary and Sheffield Way relays.
Tuesday evenings use changing meeting points around the area, announced through current club updates. Thursday options include a sociable run from Phoenix Sports and Social Club in Brinsworth and a separate track session at Herringthorpe Stadium. These are different sessions, not two names for the same meeting place.
The club describes beginner support through Runspiration and welcomes enquiries through its general email. Its 2026–27 membership listing is for adults aged eighteen or over and offers full, second-claim and social options. Some beginner information on the training page is dated or internally inconsistent, so confirm the next course and start time rather than relying on an old announcement.
