About Rochford Running Club
Rochford Running Club was formed in 2012 in Rochford, Essex, England. The England Athletics-affiliated club supports people taking their first running steps as well as improvers and runners preparing for longer races. It is a separate organisation from RED, the Rochford Endurance and Distance Runners.
Tuesday and Thursday club nights normally have a 7.15pm briefing before a 7.30pm run. The programme moves between Rochford, Hockley, Rayleigh, Eastwood, Leigh and Southend rather than using one permanent start. Winter schedules include Hawkwell Baptist Church and Eastwood Community Centre, while members also arrange Sunday outings.
Beginner courses build towards about three miles over twelve weeks, with other sessions supporting ten-kilometre progress and marathon preparation. Beginners need to book rather than turn up unannounced.
