About Rochdale Tri Club
Rochdale Triathlon Club grew from Oldham Triathlon Club, formed around 1981 by a group meeting at the Queens pub in Oldham. Its own history names Steve Walsh and Peter Stevens among the founders. Swimming moved to Middleton Pool in spring 1983 and the Rochdale name followed; Middleton Arena became the swimming base in 2009. These are distinct stages in the club's Greater Manchester, England, history.
The modern programme includes coached swimming at Chadderton Wellbeing Centre and Middleton Arena, running activities, indoor cycling and member-organised rides. Some outings are social rather than coached. The club also has a junior section, with enquiries directed through its general contact address.
Published training guidance says sessions are for members and asks newcomers to join before taking part. Prospective swimmers can arrange to meet coaches and discuss the right session first. Check the live timetable for pool, running and seasonal cycling arrangements: no single address or start time covers every discipline.
