About Ripley Running Club
Ripley Running Club brings runners together in Ripley, Derbyshire, England, for training that ranges from steady outings to speed work and off-road running. Members take part in local, regional and national competition, including fell relays, while ordinary club nights offer a sociable way to explore the area and improve fitness.
The usual Tuesday meeting is at Ripley Leisure Centre at 6.45pm. Sessions vary, and away runs are announced through the club's Facebook updates. Mixed-ability repetitions let runners work at their own speed while remaining part of the same session. Check the announced meeting point rather than assuming every outing begins at the leisure centre.
Prospective members can try one or two runs before joining and use the public enquiry email to discuss suitability. The club points complete beginners towards its associated Alfreton Jog Club. It does not advertise a junior section, although younger adults can ask about participation. Bright clothing and a light are recommended for dark evenings.
