About Potters Trotters
Potters Trotters gives women in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England, a way to run or walk together in a supportive club setting. It became an affiliated club in 2008 and was named West Midlands Club of the Year in the 2017 England Athletics regional awards. Its activities range from walking and run-walk groups to preparation for longer races such as the local Potters 'Arf.
Evening sessions use Staffordshire University's Leek Road campus, with Thursday groups meeting at the Catalyst Building. Other daytime and weekend outings have their own starts. Members receive the detailed arrangements through Spond, and prospective participants should contact the club before attending.
Established runners can arrange a trial of up to two weeks before joining. Separate beginner courses are intended for women who are new to running or returning after a break; the club asks that participants can already walk continuously for thirty minutes. Qualified leaders accompany club groups, while members help with routes and making sure nobody is left behind.
