About Pitsea RC
Pitsea Running Club is based in Basildon, Essex, England, welcoming beginners, social runners and more experienced racers. Its routes explore the town and surrounding area on road and trail. The weekly programme includes track work, hills, sociable runs, parkrun participation and winter cross country, alongside club challenges and social events.
Wednesday club night provides roughly an hour of running in pace groups covering about four to seven miles. Runners meet at the Honey Pot at Festival Leisure Park before setting out together, with leaders planning varied routes and keeping each group together. Reflective clothing or a running light is required on darker evenings.
Anyone considering membership can arrange a trial run through the membership email so someone is ready to welcome them. The club also provides an online joining form and a general enquiry form. Its Basildon training base should be distinguished from the Wickford address retained in the governing-body directory.
