About Peterborough & Nene Valley AC
Peterborough & Nene Valley Athletics Club was formed on 1 October 2019 through the merger of Peterborough AC and Nene Valley Harriers. Each predecessor had served the local area for more than forty years. Based in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, England, the combined club offers track and field, road running and cross country for juniors, seniors and masters.
The Embankment Athletics Track on Bishop's Road is the main venue. Monday sessions introduce younger athletes to running and fundamentals, while Tuesday and Thursday groups cover specialist track and field events. The club also describes a secondary training group in Boston, with details available on request.
Newcomers must contact the enquiries team before attending so coaches can place them in a suitable group; applications are subject to club approval. Membership enquiries have a separate email address. Competition and volunteering are both part of club life, with opportunities to help at sessions and events as well as take part in leagues and championships.
