About Owls AC
OWLS AC is an athletics and running club in Leicester and Leicestershire, England. Its own account dates its formation to 1982 and describes participation in road running, track athletics, fell running and cross country. Club life also includes social events, trips and outdoor team-building activities.
Training is spread across several venues. The published programme uses New College's track on Tuesdays, Beauchamp College on Wednesdays and Knighton Park on Saturdays, with additional Bradgate Park sessions when arranged. Different sessions have different school-year entry requirements, so the club's broad age range should not be read as access to every group.
Newcomers are asked to contact head coach Wayne Walker before attending. The club welcomes a range of abilities and also invites runners from other clubs to its track sessions by arrangement. Check the current session and venue directly rather than treating the directory's School Street address as a training start.
