About Notfast RC
NOTFAST Running Club was founded in 1986 as a veterans' running club in Newark, Nottinghamshire, England. In 2016 it opened membership to anyone over eighteen, while keeping the sociable atmosphere that remains central to its identity. Members run for fitness, individual races and club teams.
The club meets twice a week. Tuesday sessions start at Magnus Community Sports Centre, while Thursday training uses different venues around Newark and the surrounding area. Runners range from complete beginners to experienced competitors, so a first enquiry should include the sort of running or support the newcomer is looking for.
Adults can run with the club for two or three weeks before deciding whether to join. The new-member information and public contact page explain the next steps. Social activities have included brewery runs, quiz nights, breakfast runs and an annual awards and Christmas dinner, giving members ways to get to know each other beyond training.
