About Northumberland Fell Runners
Northumberland Fell Runners was formed in 1997 as a specialist fell-running club in north-east England. Its members are spread across Northumberland and the wider region, rather than gathering at one town’s track or clubhouse. The club’s own description makes an important distinction for newcomers: it meets at races, not at a regular weekly training night.
Members take part in local fell races and travel to the Lake District and other mountain areas. Mountain marathons and longer challenges, including the Bob Graham Round, are also part of club life. An annual club championship and awards dinner give these geographically scattered runners a shared calendar.
The website carries race reports, club history and membership forms, with an email group used to keep members in touch. Anyone considering joining can contact the secretary to discuss the club and suitable events. An old directory address in Scotland should not be mistaken for the club’s regional base or a training venue.
