About North Herts Road Runners
North Herts Road Runners began in October 1986 when John Atkinson advertised in the Comet for runners interested in forming a club in Letchworth Garden City, Hertfordshire, England. Its first AGM followed in January 1987, and the first Standalone 10K took place in October 1988.
Tuesday and Thursday training starts from Mrs Howard Hall on Norton Way South. Colour-coded groups accommodate different paces, including a group for people able to run continuously for around thirty minutes. The club also offers periodic beginner courses and competes in road and cross-country leagues.
Newcomers should complete the trial form to obtain temporary access to the club app and sessions before joining. Beyond training, members organise events including the Standalone 10K, Greenway Challenge and free monthly 5K. The hall is the training meeting point; the separately published Lindsell Avenue postal address is for correspondence.
