About Newbury AC
Newbury Athletic Club serves Newbury and the surrounding West Berkshire area of England through track and field, cross-country and road running. Its junior pathway starts at nine, with younger athletes developing across activities before moving towards more specialised coaching as they grow older.
Crookham Common Athletic Track is the year-round track-and-field base. Tuesday middle-distance and road sessions also use the track, while Thursday distance groups meet at Newbury Rugby Club on Monks Lane. Young juniors train at the track in summer and move into St Bartholomew's School sports hall in winter.
Prospective athletes should email the club, describing their age group and interests, to arrange a trial or two with the right section. Membership includes training sessions and club competitions without a separate weekly training charge. The club also welcomes volunteers, offering training for supporting roles. Its Brown's Meadow contact address should not be confused with the current track venue.
