About Morpeth Harriers & AC

Morpeth Harriers began in 1946 with its roots in cross-country and road running. The club developed into a wider athletics organisation, using the track at King Edward VI School alongside its clubhouse at Morpeth Rugby Club. It supports junior, senior and veteran athletes, from local league participants to international competitors.

Its best-known athletes include Commonwealth marathon champion Jim Alder, Olympic 1500m finalist Laura Weightman and Olympic 5000m runner Nick McCormick.
